Back in 2020, Rohit Raheja and Sachit Dugar started working on Mentor Match during their final semester of university. What began as a simple WhatsApp chatbot connecting tutors with students for quick query resolution soon revealed a much larger opportunity in the one-to-one tutoring space.

After multiple iterations and with a deep focus on keeping the customer at the center of their efforts, they set out to redefine personalized education.

Along the way, we've been blessed with the right investors, dedicated colleagues, and most importantly, inspiring tutors who have propelled us forward on our mission to deliver truly impactful learning experiences.

About the Founders

Sachit and Rohit have spent six years in education. Their first product, a doubt solving chatbot launched in 2021 during their final year of university, reached 50,000 students a day and ranked in the top 100 apps on the Play Store

It also taught them the hardest lesson in education: you can hand a child an answer, but you cannot hand them belief. Only a teacher can do that.

So they set out to give every child the one teacher who changes everything.

Why This Is Personal

In fifth grade, I could barely read. My school wanted to move me to a special school, because I wasn't coping. My mother refused, and asked them for one year.

She found me one teacher. Three afternoons a week, one to one.

By tenth grade, I won the school medal for mathematics. The boy they wanted to send away. Nothing about me had changed, only that someone finally had the time to see me
