When Yashwant began working on Environmental Systems and Societies (ESS) at the IB Diploma Programme level, he needed support with applying concepts, structuring answers in the IB style, improving exam technique, and building confidence. Accuracy and consistent practice were also important areas of focus.
Strengthening conceptual foundations. Sessions focused on reinforcing key ESS concepts and developing a clearer understanding of how to apply them to IB-style questions.
IB-style answer writing. A major focus was helping Yashwant structure responses appropriately for the IB, with attention to answering questions precisely and using effective exam techniques.
Practice and revision. Topic-wise practice, past papers, regular revision, active recall, and mock tests helped him become more comfortable with the demands of the IBDP assessment.
Support with IAs and EE. Alongside exam preparation, Yashwant received guidance with his Internal Assessment (IA) and Extended Essay (EE), both important components of the IBDP.
Yashwant’s progress is reflected in his improvement from a Grade 3 to a predicted/targeted 5+, alongside stronger confidence, conceptual understanding, exam technique, and consistency.
His current performance is rated Very Good, with his diligent approach and consistent effort contributing significantly to his progress.
“Yash is a very diligent student. He needed help and assistance in structuring IB-style answers and help with IAs and EE, which are a major part of the IBDP curriculum. We have been progressing well and hoping for the best results.” — Harshita Chaudhary, Yashwant’s Tutor

With his stronger understanding of ESS and improved confidence in IB-style assessment, Yashwant is continuing to work towards his final IBDP results. His consistent approach provides a strong foundation as he prepares for the next stage of his academic journey.
