Mentor Match covers British/IGCSE Mathematics at both Core and Extended tiers, for Cambridge British/IGCSE (0580) and Cambridge British/IGCSE (9–1). Sessions are built around the specific paper structure your child is sitting - Paper 1 and Paper 2 for Extended, Core tier equivalents - and cover all topic areas including algebra, geometry, statistics, and number.
British/IGCSE Maths tutoring is designed for students in Grades 9 and 10 (Years 10 and 11). We also support Grade 8 students who want to strengthen their foundations before the course begins. Starting before Grade 9 consistently produces stronger exam outcomes because the concept gaps have more time to close.
The first session is a GPS Framework™ baseline assessment - a structured diagnostic that identifies the exact concept gaps behind your child's current exam performance. We find where the understanding breaks down, not just which topics appear on the test paper. Teaching builds from that point in session two, with a written learning plan provided before the second session.
Tutors build sessions around Cambridge past papers, official mark scheme language, and the specific question types that carry the most marks on Paper 1 and Paper 2. Sessions develop both conceptual understanding and exam technique - both are required to move from a Grade 4 to a Grade 7 on the Cambridge British/IGCSE.
Yes. The GPS Framework™ baseline assessment pinpoints the specific concept - whether it is trigonometry, quadratics, or probability notation - and builds a focused plan around that gap. Sessions do not cover what your child already knows. Time is spent only where it is needed.
Students who begin with a correctly targeted GPS Framework™ baseline typically see measurable grade movement within 8–12 weeks. British/IGCSE Maths students at Mentor Match have moved from Grade 4 to Grade 6 within one term. Monthly progress reports track grade trajectory against Cambridge learning objectives throughout - not at the end.
Every parent receives a written monthly report covering topics addressed, concepts demonstrated as understood, areas still needing work, and the projected grade based on timed past paper performance. Reports are sent after each monthly review - you do not need to request them.
British/IGCSE Maths tutoring at Mentor Match is priced at 60 AED per session for Grades 1–5, 90 AED per session for Grades 6–10, and 120 AED per session for Grades 11–12. Sessions are 60 minutes, 1:1, and scheduled around your child's school timetable. The first session is free.
Yes. The first session is a free GPS Framework™ baseline assessment - a 1:1 diagnostic to identify exactly where your child's understanding breaks down in British/IGCSE Maths. No commitment required. Book your free demo class to get started.
